Notes: I've been planning and working on this for a long time, since The Spike gave permission. Life intervened, but it's finally done. It's a canon-divergent AU, branching off part-way through Adrift. I'm posting it for the Romancing SGA festival, as while it's very much about John and Rodney's relationship, in this they're friends, and initially estranged. So it didn't fit Romancing McShep's parameters, but their relationship, as they stumble toward a reconciliation, is every bit as intense and life-altering as any romance.
