Hello fine peeps! And welcome to Sunday Circle. This week's discussion is centered around the limn prompt, but really, talk amongst yourselves, because this should be loose and free and we'll let the discussion go where it takes us. Hopefully it will give writers, artists, poets, etc. ideas for the prompt, but also, it will just give us all sheer *glee*. \o/

Date: 2011-08-07 09:05 pm (UTC)I like het in theory, but way too often het changes the characters in ways that slash don't. I like my John Sheppard to be bad-ass and affable and a little goofy, and not turn into Edward Cullen just because he's paired with a woman instead of a man. There is definitely good het around, but a lot of the time, the man's personality will be rewritten so he fits into the mould of 'love interest', and I hate that.
ETA: That's not to say that there's not a lot of good SGA het around, or that slash doesn't come with its own share of issues.
