For the next 3 weeks (yes, it's a long challenge!) we are offering the following Anthropological quote from Robert Anton Wilson:
“We have been told over and over that 'you can't change human nature', but the study of emic realities shows quite the contrary, that almost anything can become 'human nature' if society defines it as such.”
This, of course, doesn't just mean Pegasus societies, but Atlantis, which has its own strange rules dictating behavior, and the SGC, and Earth societies as explained to the inhabitants of Pegasus, who give the Tau'ri odd looks and then nod and smile, nod and smile, because the Pegasans (or whatever their galaxy is really called) probably understand Wilson all too well: they've had the gates for thousands of years, and we only 15-odd.
:D
