Some words don't translate from Satedan to English, or maybe Ronon has just forgotten them. Words like beautiful, graceful, fragile. Elegant. The dictionary he keeps in his room defines it as being refined, graceful in movement or appearance. Delicate. Not words he'd apply to John Sheppard.

Ronon doesn't need to be reminded that weapons can be elegant; that swords can be beautiful, that they have a delicate grace and a lethal intent. Sheppard has the same fine balance and tensile strength as a forged blade. Ronon has always been drawn to edged weapons.

Elegant, in that sense is John Sheppard.

It describes him; the strength of his bones, the bend of his wrists, the sure movement of his body when he fights.The loose-limbed sprawl of his slim body when he relaxes. The long line of his throat and the way it curves to meet the bow and hollow of his clavicle. That is elegant.

Ronon wants to run the tips of his fingers along those bones, Tongue the hollow of his throat and collarbone, taste the sweetness and saltiness he would find there. Feel the throb of Sheppard's true heart beating against his lips. He wants to cover Sheppard's body with his own and feel all those fine, strong bones the length of his.

Elegant. For as long as Ronon lives, the definition of the word will be John Sheppard.
