omg! omg I loved this so much. I love Dave stories anyway, but your character Cindy was awesome! and I loved so much how you fleshed out John and Dave's childhood disagreements and made the schism between them so believable. Their two perspectives are so realistic and in the hindsight of adulthood, resolvable. They are two good men, and I'm so pleased to see them brothers again \o/.

No matter where he ended up, he had people he could turn to, people who cared about him. People who bought him hideous orange shirts.

The way you filled the prompt! ::eees with glee:: So hilarious, and then the scene in the restaurant was just awesome BAMF action. AND NO MORE HIDEOUS SHIRT! Of COURSE that was my first thought--well, actually, since I adore seeing John get shot, it was my second thought. I'm so terrible that way.
