Seriously, tho', I don't usually object to a crunchy-chewy fic that's not pureed or cotton-candy sweet. In fact, I'm a little ashamed of my first comment now because it sounds so critical. In fact, it reflects more about my hot-button & personal issues than the fic's issues, perhaps. /o\

But for whatever reasons, I still think this John & Rodney are approaching everything from very different backgrounds & frames of reference, & this act will cause difficult repercussions for them both. The situation can go in many potentially-hurtful & damaging directions, but also ones that could explore some of what appeared to be John & Rodney's deepest issues as the series progressed....

I have to mention that on this re-read I finally grasped the irony of the title--that either or both could be regarded as engaging in conduct unbecoming. That's the sort of twisty detail that's cause for a good long rumination under a tree in the pasture.... ;-)
