Prompt: rain
Summary: it was rain, but something about it reminded Sheppard of home
Sheppard left his quarters, after dropping his P-90 on the chair near his computer and pulling off his tac, and headed to the east pier where he sat down, his legs resting on the pier, but booted feet over the edge.
The quiet rain washed down gently over him. It felt good. It felt like home. There was something refreshing, calming, and it made him think of the last time he had been at home.
He had been on leave between assignments and although things had not turned out
well in terms of 'family dynamics', it was retreating to the mountain lodge that he found fulfilling.
They had protested telling him that it was not right; he owed them the time, but he had packed it in figuring his time was short.
Now this rain fulfilled him the same way it had for those two days. He had spent them taking walks through the evergreens and spending a bit of time on the porch, just being.
