Yes and now just memories through photos.........
I wish there was something I could say......
I look at photos of it all and sometimes it seems like it never
happened, but I have our commissioning certificates here in the
den on the wall as proof that it did.
His is A LOT more ornate than mine e.g. Neptune and Amphitrite
riding on a chariot pulled by Hippocamps and accompanying them are nymphs and other assorted sea dignitaries...all featured prominently in lithograph....below all the introduction of commissioning etc.
Mine comes right to the point, minces no words and just has a Navy seal
I guess Dept of Navy ran out of ideas or $$$ by then.
