esteefee, thank you for your kind words. The writers did handle that lesson badly. I'd like to think that the writer tasked with that script didn't agree with TPTB either. When I saw it the first time, I knew they were going to kill off Carson, but it was still horribly shocking. I remember reading somewhere that the premise for doing so was to shake things up on the show. Things definitely got shaken around but I don't think the producers were expecting the reaction they got.

I am planning to write some Carson-centric stories for this community. One of the reasons I joined was to kick start my own writing. I have a multi-chapter work in progress that's heading into its 16th month of writer's block. The last story I wrote was A Red Red Rose which I posted on my LJ page over a year ago.

Lately I've been doing a lot of technical writing for my job but I'm hoping that will throttle back a little in a few weeks and I'll have more time and motivation to write for fun.
