In all of it's varied and wonderful forms. I love that there are different pronunciations, and just a small sampling of some of the great ways to use it below.

sub·ject [n., adj. suhb-jikt; v. suhb-jekt]

noun
2.a branch of knowledge as a course of study: Rodney received PhDs in two subjects.
3.a motive, cause, or ground: a subject for complaint.
5.the principal melodic motif or phrase in a musical composition, especially in a fugue.

12.a person as an object of medical, surgical, or psychological treatment or experiment. (ie, Michael.)
13.a cadaver used for dissection.
16. Metaphysics . that in which qualities or attributes inhere; substance. [someone smarter than me uses this to talk about the Asurans.]
