You keep deepening and expanding our knowledge of these characters (and their own self-knowledge) in such interesting, satisfying ways. I liked how Dino grilled John on whether Rodney was being good to him, and--while Dino's approval of Rodney and the relationship meant so much to John, not hurting Rodney's feelings meant more. "He's my guy." True and true to Fair Trade John's way of communicating, too.
