John, man--say what you want about the guy, but he's a cool cucumber. I had him come to consciousness in a moving car on a busy highway and he really barely blinked at me.
Vis a vis "the rest of the story"- -I do think it's sort of there to be imagined, implicitly: for me, the story did naturally stop there (like, it wasn't a bigger story that I shrunk down or anything) just because the emotional moment of recognition was John-Rodney. The rest, as I posted upthread, is mainly an action adventure story, but you can sort of fill in the blanks pretty easily, I'd guess!
