No, I hear you. That absolutely makes sense. I think there are also ingrained social niceties that we don't think twice about, like considering it an invasion of privacy or rude to ask someone personal questions (family, romance, death, etc), especially right away. Meanwhile Ronon's used to putting the most value on those things and expects their worth to be recognized right away via curiosity & interest. It would be so easy to feel undervalued as a person in that setting - I get why he walked out! *g*

I love world-building! Any excuse... ;)
