Oh, this was funny - those wacky Earth rituals! (Seem pretty weird to me, too, actually.) And I agree that if I had a relative (3rd cousin twice removed, by marriage, even) that was stationed on Atlantis, there would be absolutely no doubt that I was angling for an invite!
