I think we could employ that adage, "weird is as weird does." It's very likely my brain runs slightly off kilter, but as you know I have a great fondness for this story and, these days, anything that only takes me 4 days to write has to be a plus!

Probably too focused on thwarting the rescue. I almost feel sorry for Ylla in a way - I think Rodney affected her... and what she must have been able to glean from his initial thoughts...
