So I'm personally a sucker for rescue videos. I mean, I just went through a bunch of tissues bawling my eyes out because I watched a videoof someone who pulled over to the side of the road and rescued a momma dog and her two puppies. Shut up, I'm not crying, you're crying!

That little emotional fest got me thinking - what if Ronon walked through the Stargate and a tiny puppy was trailing behind him? Or maybe the Pegasus version of a puppy - maybe with fur and gills? Or maybe it's the size of Ronon's foot right now, but it grows up to tower over him? Or how about John being "rescued" by people who think Atlantis is keeping him hostage? Or if you went the AU route, maybe there's a little farm house in Iowa that is all quiet until maybe Finn hears the tiniest of cries? So John wakes up and watches as Finn crawls under the house and comes out with a tiny kitten, abandoned by it's mom? Or Lorne has to rescue Parrish from yet another Botany-filled bookstore?

Whatever the case, you've got four weeks to think about "rescue" and/or "crying" and come up with a story all your own.

Welcome to March, where we celebrate Women's History Month, National Reading Month, and International Women's Day on the 8th. There's so much to celebrate this month, that we thought we'd try combining some of this month's activities into prompts - reading and/or history. Maybe combine them, like having John watch Rodney fall asleep reading a scientific journal. Or maybe Lorne brings back a book on the history of botany because, "It looked interesting" - when in reality he misses falling asleep next to Parrish, who used to ease Lorne out of the stress of the day by talking about botanicals in the 1800s. Or maybe we go campy, over the top and have Stackhouse reading the entire expedition to filth (a primer on the best Drag Race reading challenges can be found at this link).

Whatever you choose to do, you've got four weeks to get some ideas on paper and just go for it!

Well, we all knew February into March was going to be busy what with all the Valentines Day themed events going on. So far we've only had one entry for the last prompt of "dinner" and/or "date":

Since we are in the midst of Romancing McShep, Romancing SG-1, and Romancing SGA, I figured a little prompting that is around date nights might be in order. For the next four weeks, you can deal with "dinner" and/or "movie" and maybe tie an SGA story together with one of the accompanying fests. Dinner? Movie? I think this is something Colonel Slinky Hips could get behind.

So you've got 4 weeks for this challenge, though the fests end in 3 weeks. You get to figure out how SGA folks get to celebrate. And, GO!

Sometimes trying to come up with prompts is definitely a challenge in and of itself. But this morning, all I got on the brain is my cup of tea to start my day. So why not try and make a thing of it, huh?

Coffee is what makes Atlantis run, but what happens when they run out of coffee? Is Tea something that you think Rodney McKay would drink? I mean, if he's out of coffee and wanted some sort of caffeinated boost in the morning, tea is pretty much it. They wouldn't have energy drinks out in Pegasus. And cup? Well, cup can mean so many different things. Sure, you can write an AU where single dad Caldwell is trying to make a cake for his birthday kiddo and needs to borrow a cup of sugar from their prickly neighbor, Ambassador Weir. Or you could go the other way around. John Sheppard watches as Rodney goes to grab a cup to get something to drink only to accidentally break it - so John learns ceramics from the Athosians and makes Rodney a new cup. Or maybe it's a stolen moment together where Carson cups Cadman's cheek before kissing her - or Lorne drinks a cup of liquid courage before he asks Parrish out on a date.

For the next FIVE weeks, you've got "cup" and/or "tea" to try and put something together for the prompt.

That right, friends! Amnesty is almost over - but it's cool, we were all too busy to get anything written, and I totally get that. The Winter holiday keeps us all busy and that's all cool.

But, if you're working on something that you consider amnesty, you can still log it as long as it's done before Sunday evening, January 4th. Otherwise, it'll have to wait or be worked into another prompt.

For the four weeks of December, we're letting you run as free as you'd like to be. You can run wild and go with any prompts that are in the archive - no holds barred. But if you want to make it extra interesting because maybe you had something you started for a previous challenge this year but didn't quite get it finished? Guess what! You can submit it this month without issue.

So you have four weeks to go with anything from the Tags section. Or, if you choose, you can just choose from the last 12 months. Those would be:

Welcome to weeks #518-522, where we'll be creating all kinds of fanworks for the prompts "office" and/or "visit." Why yes, I went to the doctor recently, why do you ask?

You can use the prompts separately - like maybe an AU where Atlantis Tech is a scientific company in a businesspark where Rodney works, and John is a corporate spy, coming in to steal their secrets when he gets thwarted by the talkative head of sciences. Or maybe Lorne, having given up his dream of being a pilot for whatever reason, goes to visit a friend who introduces him to Air Force pilot David Parrish, who offers to take him up sometime. Or maybe it's the worlds most dysfunctional office building where Dr. Jennifer Keller is making eyes at Ronon Dex across the parking lot, only to be thwarted by her very out and very gay assistants Markham and Stackhouse.

Whatever the case, think about where you could go with "office" and/or "visit" and see where it takes you.
