Title: Durb is not a Word
Author/artist: [livejournal.com profile] mific
Wordcount: 2260
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard
Summary: In which John and Rodney play Scrabble. And cheat like bastards.
Warnings: None.
Notes: For the sga_saturday prompt "Word". This was fun to write – I started with a generic Scrabble game image, edited it in photoshop to add a McShep flavor and then wrote the fic based almost entirely on how the board was arranged in the pic. In the process I learned a few interesting words. I'm not a Scrabble buff so if any of the following breaks the rules of the game, we'll just blame John and Rodney. Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] busaikko for a quick beta read. Set a little after Sunday.
ETA: Now with an extra turn by John to fix the fact that Rodney got carried away and had two goes at one point - thanks to [livejournal.com profile] esteefee, chief Scrabble beta, for spotting the continuity error. :)

YOU GUYS. Happy anniversary! and thank you, thank you to the many artists, poets, writers, commenters and lemurs that have contributed to this Little Comm That Could. <3 I'd go all squishy on you if John wasn't telling me to suck it up fer Pete's sake, this is embarrassin'.

You might've noticed we've returned to our original banner, created by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] crysothemis, which signifies Amnesty week is here! And did you know an easy-peasy way to list all our prompts was to go to our memories page? It's also a really convenient way to revel in our fannish accomplishments of the past year, which include:

237 Stories!
46 Artworks!
1 Poem!
115 SGA Recs!
and...1 CrackFicPicSpam!

I mean. Seriously. You guys. Holy crap.

Title: Will you pay?
Rating: PG
Characters: John Sheppard, Samantha Carter, Kavanagh, Chuck
Notes: I have no idea if the time lines even match up enough to make this situation possible, but this is what you get when you let someone play with any random prompt they want. Seriously not beta read so there are mistakes and a very good chance that Carter may not seem as awesome as usual like in the show. I’ll say that this is set sometime very early in Season 4, mostly because I am of the mind that by the end of Season 4 Carter would understand. Written for the Amnesty: Week 52 and for Rebel: Week 13.

Summary: That IDC, when used, was a plea for sanctuary, safety, and home. For those in the city when it was used, that IDC was a call to arms.

Will you pay? )

Amentsy week is open!!

This means if you started a story that didn't get done, finish it and post it!

BUT ALSO, go back and create to as many of the past prompts as you like! Maybe you want to challenge yourself to fit as many prompts into one story/art/vid etc as possible? Or maybe you'll be inspired to do something totally new, or take an old work off the WIP shelf that fits one of the prompts, dust it off, and share it with our little comm.

Anyway you want to participate, please do! And don't forget, rec lists are also always welcome!

Feel free to ask if you have questions or need clarification on anything.

And on our 52nd week of being a little weekly come, we'd just like to say thank you to all of you! We wouldn't be a community at all without all of our wonderful participants, fandom works creaters and consumers. So thank you!
